Name of School: Bishop Stopford’s School Contact person: Nick Parmar - parmarnick@googlemail.com
The focus of the project is:
Increased links with primary school, CPD for both primary and secondary staff, information sharing with parents, twilight activities at both schools for selected students and parents/carers, staff training at Bishop Stopford’s school for SEAL delivery, SEAL induction day in year 7. How can we make more effectively prepare year 6 pupils for transfer to secondary schoolboy raising their aspirations and developing skills necessary for more effective learning. St Matthews, St James Ponders End and St Georges Freezywater primary Schools
Describe how your proposed project is innovative and explain how it ensures the development of excellence? The project will allow secondary staff to demonstrate skills for year 7 to year 6 students, teachers and parents and to build on the effective strategies for teaching and learning delivery.
What is the time frame/plan of action for your project? Start in the summer term and it will continue into subsequent years following the students up until they leave school. In we hope to finish in May/June 2009

What are your process of evidence collection and evaluation to measure impact (methodology)? Data provided by primary schools will form the baseline, participation and attainment data will form the judgement in secondary school on readiness for learning (SEAL)
What outcomes are you expecting – how could these be demonstrated/shared? Pupils are more independent and confident learners who excel. Both primary and secondary schools teachers have gained a collegiate approach in learning/teaching strategies which enable all pupils to succeed. We will be fully supporting this initiative in every aspect. We will be providing written report on the progress and share our findings through relevant meeting. To feed back to all stakeholders through emails, letters and meetings.
